Hello, I'd like to report an ongoing concern regarding a contract research lab in Ontario that conducts preclinical animal testing.

I'm aware that Health Canada is not the primary agency responsible for enforcing Ontario's animal welfare laws but this facility conducts studies that may support regulatory submissions for health products.

The facility is Nucro-Technics Inc., located at 2000 Ellesmere Rd. Unit 16, Scarborough, ON M1H 2W4

A whistleblower at the facility exposed video evidence of poor treatment of beagle dogs at the facility. The footage raises serious concerns about animal welfare and what may be non-compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

Reports have been made to OMAFA and ARA facilities by multiple members of the public as well. The CCAC has also visited the facility once in the recent past and issued reports and warnings.

Could this information please be forwarded to the appropriate branch for review, and could you please provide me with a reference number as well?
